Once on the island you will take a bus tour around the island to learn of its history as a detention center. After the bus tour you will stop at the actual prison blocks including the one Nelson Mandela stayed in. What makes this part of the tour so special is that this part of the tour is conducted by former political prisoners who will freely tell you their stories and what life was like. After explore the vibrant waterfront with its wonderful shops including an area called the Watershed where you can find locally made crafts and items. You will then be transferred back to Victoria & Alfred Hotel (BB) for your final night.
Day 6 - This morning you will be picked up in the morning and transferred back to the airport for a flight to Skukuza Aiport that services the greater Kruger Area. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to Narina Lodge (FB and all activities). Perched among a canopy of 100 year old trees overlooking the Sabie River, the style of this intimate lodge is that of a luxurious treehouse. With just 9 private Suites set upon raised wooden walkways, don’t be surprised if you say hello to impala or bushbuck on the way back to your room.
Day 7 - A typical day at Narina is to arise at 5:00am for an early morning game drive (when animals are most active). Then it is back to your lodge for breakfast and the chance to rest and relax before lunch. In the afternoon after tea you will go out on a late afternoon game drive returning for dinner. Of course the day is yours to do as you please. Spend another night at Narina Lodge (FB and all activities).

Dithaba (meaning ‘mountain’ in the local dialect) is like having your own private game lodge as it only has 4 rooms (each with private plunge pool). Sitting up higher than other lodges in the area it has a great view of the bush.
Day 10 - Spend another day at Dithaba. With this game reserve you can drive close to the animals and they are all here – rhino, elephant, lion, leopard, wild dog and everything else on your must see list. Spend another night at Dithaba Lodge (FB and all activities).
