Infinite Safari Adventures Partners With Wandr For Concierge Travel Medicine Service

When people go on safari with Infinite they always ask what shots are required or needed and what other medicine should they be bringing or taking. I tell them that while nothing is “required” they should consult with a doctor to discuss what they need based on their personal medical history. And we talk about getting Malarone or Doxycycline as a malaria prophylactic. While this advice has worked well, here at Infinite Safari Adventures we are always striving for a better way. I think we may have found it.

We have partnered with Dr. Alec Freling, an LA-based ER physician and founder of Wandr, www.travelwithwandr.com, a concierge travel medicine service. Regardless of where you live you can work directly with Dr. Freling (though he must use doctors in other states for the prescription), He will personally walk you through the specific medication and vaccine requirements for you and arrange, if necessary to get your shots at your local Walgreens. This ensures you have the right protection tailored specifically to your health needs and itinerary.

You can reach out to Dr. Freling directly via Email: alec.freling@travelwithwandr.com or by phone (860-466-0157). And best of all, our commitment to giving back remains at the heart of this partnership. For every client who utilizes Wandr a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Infinite Safari Foundation, which is our outlet for conservation, humanitarian and educational initiatives throughout Eastern and Southern Africa. Make sure you mention Infinite Safari Adventures when reaching out to Dr. Freling so we can ensure your medicine purchase supports the work we do. And don’t forget you can use this for all your trips not just on safari!

While it may have been 20 years ago today that Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play, another wonderful thing also happened 20 years ago today. On August 27th just before my 50th birthday I summited Mt. Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain on the continent of Africa. It was a moving, spiritual experience to stand on the roof of Africa. The entire journey was amazing, from my incredible guide Geoffrey Moshi pushing me and motivating me to the summit, to the sunrise over…

We are proud to support the Women in Tourism Program in Zambia, created by the African Bush Camps Foundation. The foundation is affiliated with African Bush Camps, which frequently hosts Infinite Safari Adventures guests. In many communities, young women remain largely shut out of tourism opportunities due to limited access to further education, financial barriers, geographic isolation, and social norms. Many lack the training, networks,…
