Tanzania Wildlife with Exotic Zanzibar

This safari is a sample of what we can create for you. It offers everything that can be included in a safari of this type. It has been designed to coincide with the great wildebeest migration when the migration reaches the remote north of the Serengeti—the absolute best time to see it. You will have a chance to witness the wildebeests as they cross the famous Mara River. This is one of the most stunning wildlife spectacles anywhere. It is nature at its most raw. This safari also allows for plenty of wildlife viewing throughout. Then it takes you for several days to the exotic island of Zanzibar where you will stay at one of Zanzibar’s most stunning beach resorts with lots of activities at your disposal or simply relax and do nothing at all. This is a safari designed for you to fall in love with Africa – its beauty, its people and its wildlife.

Welcome To Africa!

Day 1: Welcome To Africa! Welcome to Africa! Upon arrival at Mt. Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by an Infinite Safari Adventure representative who will transfer you to Rivertrees Lodge, a luxurious converted old coffee farm a half an hour from the airport. Your guide will be with you your entire safari. There is a pool as well as pleasant grounds to walk around, monkeys in the trees and massage and Wi-Fi facilities. Rest, Relax & Get Ready to experience Africa!

Off To Tarangire!

Day 2: Off To Tarangire! This morning after breakfast you will head to Tarangire National Park. You will do a game drive as you make your way to your Lodge. Tarangire has the second highest density of elephants in Africa and it is not uncommon to have one wander into camp! Return at the end of the day to watch the sunset before heading off to dinner. You might even fall asleep to the sounds of lions off in the distance or close up! (But don’t worry there are Maasai guards posted around camp all night).

Tarangire

Day 3: Tarangire. Today you will spend another day in Tarangire National Park and all the wildlife there is to see – your experienced guide will take you to the best places to see elephant, buffalo, lion, giraffe, zebra and wildebeest; and perhaps an elusive leopard or cheetah.

Up To Ngorongoro Crater

Day 4: Up To Ngorongoro Crater. This morning you will leave Tarangire and drive up the Great Rift Valley to the Lake Manyara National Park. This park is home to the tree climbing lions and boasts a large soda lake where there is an opportunity to spot hippo and diverse wildlife. For lunch we have arranged a lunch at the village of Mto Wa Mbu that is cooked by a women’s cooperative. Tonight you will stay close the rim of Ngorongoro Crater for a head start on others who will be driving up to go into the Crater.

Ngorongoro Crater

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater. Today you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a game drive in one of the mostly densely packed wildlife areas in the world. Ngorongoro Crater is a collapsed volcano (a caldera) that formed about 2-3 million years ago. Measuring just 100 square miles on the floor it also boasts one of the densest population of lions in the area. At the end of the day, ascend the rim again and stay another night at the rim of the Crater.

Off To The Serengeti!

Day 6: Off To The Serengeti! This morning you will make your way to the northern Serengeti. As you will be doing a game drive on the way and it is a long way to go to the north we will stop tonight in the Central Serengeti where there is plenty of wildlife. As you drive north you will continue on with your exploration of the animals and the “circle of life” in the vast plains of the Serengeti with its unique “Kopis” or rock outcroppings (where lions and leopards are sometimes spotted using the rocks as their vantage point). Tonight you will stay at Nasikia Naona Moru for a wonderful bush experience.

A Day In The Serengeti

Day 7: A Day In The Serengeti. Today you will continue your drive north doing a game drive on the way. You will spend a full day in the Serengeti. The return at the end of the day to sit around the fire, enjoy a sundowner and contemplate all that you have seen. Your home for the next several nights is Nasikia Mobile Camp (FB). The beautiful seasonal camp is set in different locations at different times of the year to give you the best opportunity to be close to the migration.

Last Day In The Serengeti

Day 8: Last Day In The Serengeti. Today is your final day in the Serengeti. You could spend weeks here and not see everything. Your guide will continue to educate you how all of the animals and nature live together. As you sip your sundowner around the fire think back on all that you have seen, all that you have done and the people you have met. Spend a final night at Nasikia Mobile Camp.

Comprised of special self-contained “cottages” each has its own private terrace overlooking Menai Bay and the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
