After breakfast, embark on a tour of Kigali, one of Africa’s cleanest and most organized cities. Rwanda’s ban on plastic bags and its community-driven Umuganda Day, where citizens clean their neighborhoods, make this city truly unique.

Afterwards, begin your scenic three-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park, passing through lush terraced hillsides and picturesque landscapes. This morning, say goodbye to Rwanda and transfer to the airport for your flight to Tanzania. You’ll likely land in Mwanza, on the shores of Lake Victoria, to clear customs before continuing to the Serengeti, where your Tanzanian guide will meet you.

Begin your first game drive, spotting wildlife as you make your way to camp, perfectly positioned for the best wildlife viewing. From August to October, your camp will be in the Northern Serengeti, offering a front-row seat to the Great Migration as wildebeest cross the Mara River. Watch for lion prides resting in the shade, elephants moving in slow procession, and cheetahs scanning the horizon for prey. You may also pass through areas where large herds of wildebeest and zebra continue their migration, depending on the season.
