Botswana, Victoria Falls & South African Adventure Safari

This 14-day Southern African Adventure has been created especially for you to encompass everything one could want in a Southern African Safari of this type. It starts with a visit to the iconic Victoria Falls, then onto the beautiful, conservation minded country of Botswana with is dense population of elephants as well as a chance to see Giraffes, Lions, Leopards, Zebras, Gazelles, Hippos as well as hundreds of species of birds. It also gives you a chance to spend time in the iconic Okavango Delta where you can not only do game drives but explore wildlife from the comfort of a boat. Then it is on to Cape Town where we have arranged tours of the area, including its famous wine lands region. It is designed for you to fall in love with Africa – its beauty, its wildlife and its people.

Full Itinerary

Day 1 - Tonight, you will arrive at Johannesburg Tambo International Airport. You will be met by an Infinite Safari representative and transferred to the InterContinental Hotel O.R. Tambo. Close by the airport to facilitate your transfer back to the airport tomorrow.

Day 2 - This morning you will be transferred back to Tambo International Airport for your flight to Livingstone Airport. Upon arrival at Livingstone and clearing customs and immigration you will be met by a representative of Infinite Safari Adventures and driven to Waterberry Zambezi Lodge (FB and all activities). While located just 30 minutes from the airport, it is in the heart of the wild and is on the banks of the Zambezi River. From here you will visit Victoria Falls and have the options for other activities including a Zambezi river cruise, or take a guided village walk all of which are included.

Day 3 - Spend another day at the Waterberry Zambezi Lodge (FB and all activities). Today will be the day to visit the iconic Victoria Falls. Stand where David Livingstone did when he discovered the falls.

Day 4 - Today you will be transferred by road to Botswana and Chobe Game Lodge (FB with activities). This beautiful property where I just stayed sits on the Chobe River. What makes this place unique is not only that all the guides are women but they use electric safari vehicles and are eco certified. Here you will spend the next 3 nights doing game drives, take a boat trip down the Chobe River and enjoying the wonderful hospitality of this lodge.

Day 5 - Spend another night at Chobe Game Lodge (FB and all activities). This lodge is the only permanent lodge within the boundaries of Chobe National Park. A typical day for you will be to arise at dawn for an early morning game drive. Afterwards you will return to the lodge for a delicious breakfast and then some time to relax. In the afternoon, you will do another game drive or take a sundowner cruise on the Chobe River.

Day 6 - Spend a final day at Chobe Game Lodge (FB and all activities). Do more game drives looking for the wide variety of species that roam this iconic national park.

Day 7 - After your early morning game drive, breakfast and checking out you will be transferred by road to Kasane Airport to connect with a seat on charter flight from Kasane to Moremi Airstrip. Soar above Botswana and enjoy the view as you make your way to Camp Moremi (FB and all activities). n Botswana’s world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve. Camp Moremi is situated on the edge of the Xakanaxa Lagoon in an area well known for its spectacular game-viewing opportunities.

Day 8 - Morning and afternoon game drives are on your agenda as well as boat trips. Spend another night at Camp Moremi (FB and all activities).

Day 9 - Today is your final day in the bush. Take a sundowner boat cruise, go on game drives. The day is yours to do as you please. Spend a final night at Camp Moremi (FB and all activities).

Day 10 - After your early morning game drive, breakfast and checking out you will take off over the Delta to Maun Airport arriving in time to connect with your scheduled flight from Maun to Cape Town. Note: the flight from Maun to Cape Town is not included in pricing as it is probably less expensive to include it as part of your international ticket). Upon arrival in Cape Town you will be met at the airport and transferred to The Commodore Hotel (BB). Situated in the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront where I recently stayed, the hotel rooms on the upper floors with views of Table Mountain, Robben Island, the Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. This will be your home away from home for the next 3 nights.

Day 11 - We have arranged several days of tours for you. Today we have arranged for a full-day wine lands tour. You will stop at two wineries to sample the fantastic South African wines you have probably enjoyed during your stay so far. You will enjoy lunch on the way (on own account). After your tour you will return to the The Commodore Hotel (BB) to have dinner at the hotel or one of the nearby restaurants of which there are many to choose from.

Day 12 - Today we have arranged a Full Day Cape Point and Peninsula tour. You’ll travel along the Atlantic seaboard with its gorgeous white beaches and rugged mountains to Hout Bay. If open, you’ll continue to Chapman’s Peak Drive, renowned as one of the most stunning roadways in the world. You’ll visit the Cape Point Nature Reserve, the tip of the Cape of Good Hope that has captivated travelers for centuries with its dramatic scenery and fascinating history. There even may be time to stop at Boulders Beach to see the penguins in Africa. Return at the end of the day to spend another night at The Commodore Hotel (BB).

Day 13 - Today will be a wonderful yet moving day as at the scheduled time you will make your way to the Nelson Mandela Gateway at the waterfront where you will take a short ferry ride to Robben Island. Once on the island you will take a bus tour around the island to learn of its history as a detention center. After the bus tour you will stop at the actual prison blocks including the one Nelson Mandela stayed in. What makes this part of the tour so special is that this part of the tour is conducted by former political prisoners who will freely tell you their stories and what life was like. After spend some time to explore the vibrant waterfront with its wonderful shops including an area called the Watershed where you can find locally made crafts and items. Spend another night at The Commodore Hotel (BB).

Day 14 - Today at the appropriate time you will be picked up at the hotel and transferred to the Cape Town airport for your international flight home.

While out on safari everything is all inclusive as stated above, including accommodations, meals), non-premium drinks, laundry, activities as listed, park fees, vehicles, activities, English-speaking guides and transfers as well as all non-commercial air transfers. At the Commodore it is bed and breakfast.

It does not include visa fees (there is a $30 visa fee for Zimbabwe Botswana and South Africa currently do not have visa fees), airport taxes, international flights, commercial flight from MUB to CPT, other activities, international travel insurance and items of a personal nature. We strongly recommend all clients take out international travel insurance – we can advise on this if you would like.
