Welcome To Africa!

Day 1: Welcome To Africa! Welcome to Africa! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi you will be met by an Infinite Safari Adventure representative who will transfer you to the Boma Hotel (BB) a lovely hotel close to airport and next door to the International Red Cross Headquarters (and owned by them). Nairobi is the capital and the largest city of Kenya. The city was founded by the British in 1899 as a simple rail depot on the railway. It is now a major business hub in East and Central Africa and the regional and national headquarters of various international business and organizations. Here you will rest from your flight as you prepare to start your safari adventure the following day!

The Highlights of Nairobi

Day 2: The Highlights of Nairobi. Today after breakfast you will tour Nairboi with your driver and guide. Today you will have the opportunity to see a variety of wonderful things in Nairobi. Some of the highlights my include a visit the Sheldrick Elephant orphanage to learn more about elephants and the conservation efforts surrounding them, by this incredible organization founded by the widow David Sheldrick, the first game warden in Tsavo National Park. Then travel to Giraffe Center to learn about these majestic animals and where preservation efforts are ongoing to save Rothschild Giraffes (and with an opportunity to feed and if you want get kissed by a giraffe!) Then a visit Kazuri Beads. This women’s cooperative is a small jewelry manufacturing operation which you can visit and see the beautiful work they do. Finally it is off to Karen Blixen’s house. This historical home will give you a glimpse of what life was like in Kenya during the time she wrote “Out of Africa.” Then it is time for lunch and then back to the hotel for relaxation.

Off To Amboseli!

Day 3: Off To Amboseli! This morning after breakfast and checking out you will depart by road to Amboseli National Park. Depending on road conditions we expect to arrive at the camp in time for lunch. You will have beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world and topped by one fifth of all the ice in Africa. Amboseli is famous the big families of Elephants, Lions, Cheetahs, Gazelles, Impalas, Zebras, etc.

A Day In Amboseli

Day 4: A Day In Amboseli. After breakfast you will head out to another game drive in Amboseli park. The park which is famous for its tranquil beauty that allows fabulous wildlife viewing, photography and easy approachable wildlife which include big families of Elephants, Lions and Cheetahs etc. You may also have the option of visiting a Maasai village. Your visit will reveal the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a memorable experience. Lunch will be served at the camp followed by afternoon game viewing.

Amboseli Community Day

Day 5: Amboseli Community Day. Today we are going to take a break from game drives and experience the local Maasai community which ISA is so involved in. Your guide will take you out to the IFAW supported Olgulului Community Anti-Poaching Rangers. You will have an opportunity to meet Patrick Papatiti, my Maasai son, who I sent to college and his rangers as well as the unit known as the Young Lionesses an all-female ranger group. You will also have an opportunity to visit one of the local Maasai communities and see the water well that ISA built. Today will be a day to really get a feel of the local communities and how they live with the wildlife that is around them.

Fly To Maasai Mara!

Day 6: Fly To Maasai Mara! ✈ This morning after breakfast, you will be driven to Wilson Airport for a flight to the iconic Maasai Mara. It is considered as a “must see” by almost all visitor going on safari. It is on the “to do” list for many because the park is graced by a wide variety of unique and exquisite wildlife and birds. Game drives, cultural visits, bush dinners, sundowners, scenic flights and balloon rides are all activities available to you in the Mara.

A Full Day In The Mara

Day 7: A Full Day In The Mara. Spend a full day in the Mara. The Mara is regarded as the most spectacular wildlife viewing area in Kenya with over 95 species of mammals and over 400 species of birds. Every turn around every corner can reveal something wonderful. You will continue to be amazed by the knowledge of your guide as he does not just share is knowledge about the wildlife but birds and plants as well.

Another Great Day In The Mara

Day 8: Another Great Day In The Mara. Spend another full day in the Mara. Continue your journey looking for wildlife around every corner. You will continue to be amazed by the knowledge of your guide as he does not just share is knowledge about the wildlife but birds and plants as well.

A Final Day In The Mara

Day 9: A Final Day In The Mara. Spend a final day in the bush exploring Masai Mara Game Reserve. There is so much to see and do in the Mara that you could spend weeks here. Your guide throughout your stay here will provide you with a wealth of facts on not only the wildlife, but the birds, plants and insects and how they are all intertwined in the “circle of life.”

Time To Say Until Next Time

Day 10: Time To Say Until Next Time. ✈ All good things must come to an end, but it is not goodbye but only until next time. Breakfast will served at the camp, followed by a transfer to the airstrip for morning scheduled flight to Nairobi. A farewell lunch will be served at a city restaurant in Nairobi. You will then be transferred to Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your international departure flight.
